US customers will pay 20-40% tariffs on Vietnamese goods. Vietnamese customers will pay zero tariffs on US goods. "The Art of the Deal" apparently has crayon stick figures as "art".

The US imposes a 20% tariff on most Vietnamese exports, down from the previously announced 46%

Goods transshipped through Vietnam (often to avoid Chinese products) are subject to a 40% tariff
In return, Vietnam does not apply import tariffs to American goods; American products have zero tariffs in Vietnam.

The aim is to prevent direct trade flows from China through Vietnam,

The deal is less advantageous for Vietnamese exporters than 0%, but also better than 46%. He is seeking a balance: penalizing transshipment and focusing on increasing American access to the Vietnamese market.

Lost 33,000 jobs in June. MAGATs predicted a 100,000 a month increase. Unrestricted capitalism simply cannot compete in the world market. You're witnessing its death throes. Consumers pay tariffs.
