Abbott has filed suit against the MAGA defunded NWS. Of course, the MAGA playbook is to always blame someone else, even though I'd doubt that any judge would give Texas anything, since they have a history of ignoring gov't warnings anyway.

JUST IN: Houston, Texas pediatrician Dr. Christina Propst has been FIRED after facing mass backlash for posting that the 80+ Texas flood victims, including children, were Trump supporters who “got what they voted for.”

I’d fire you in a heartbeat.

Politicizing a natural disaster?  Never seen that before.  Like literally every single time.

Yes and occasionally there are major consequences. We can say what we want on here, but in the real world, there’s a line and she crossed it. You can’t be a pediatrician and say that. You just can’t.

In real world in what I’ll call normal work situations where your expressions aren’t immediately associated with your potential performance, (like a doctor)would I fire someone like Thumper who was say an office worker or on assembly line? Not sure, but he’d have to be exceptional in other areas. I sure as heck wouldn’t go out of my way to help him. Work takes time and energy, why add to it with someone like that?

This is Amy personally opinion for anyone confused.

Just saw a link to this article so I read a few others. Apparently this area is referred to as Flash Flood Alley and has a long history of tragic events. In 1987, 10 kids from a camp were killed in flooding.

Lying should remain a hobby, you can't lie professionally. That would very amateurish.

Good question, can you lie professionally? Obviously politicians do. Why you may think so, lawyers can’t lie professionally. Police officers can legally lie. Who else?

Me?

We accuse others of lying and say that they are not allowed to do that. And we rebel against that.

But the mind lies to us all the time.
For example, when we want to achieve something.
listen to this music for 38 seconds and you will understand what I mean.

People in asylums are completely under the spell of their minds.

Christianity and all other religions came from misticy that told us to stop thinking.
Why don't we rebel against the mind?

Christianity did not tell anyone to stop thinking. Where did you get that?

Did some leaders try to take advantage of their leadership position over people? Of course. That happens everywhere. But it’s incorrect to have a blanket statement saying Christianity tells people to stop thinking. That’s just not true.

What I am saying is: that Jesus, who was a mystic, told his disciples that they should stop thinking or better said that they should ignore thinking. The meditation that all mystics teach is nothing other than ignoring thinking. How do I get to that? Very simply, I heard that from a mystic I am a student of. And when I read books from other mystics they all refer to the same thing. their basis is stop thinking by that they mean don't pay attention to it and it disappears into the background and dissolves.

If only Christianity would talk about this.

My question is why do we rebel against liars and discuss them, but why don't we rebel against our Mind, because that's what Jesus advises us to do. And with him all the athor mystics.

Not that I know the ultimate answer to that, but I'm trying to generate some interest in what lies beyond thought.

I don't hold 47's stolen election against the voters. Oh, and Mexico is sending rescue crews, even though the US (the country) doesn't deserve it. They don't punish the US (the People) because their leaders are morons. The US should be LEARNING from that, but, of course, MAGATs have decided not to learn anything.
