At the end of the day, no one will miss him. Maybe he’ll go online like Tucker did. Not sure why they didn’t just rip the bandaid off and pull him immediately like Fox did to Tucker.

In addition to him still being under contract, he's still No.1.  In true capitalist overlord fashion, they'll let him make them even more money until he's cancelled.

If that’s true, then I guess that was the smarter thing for CBS to do. But I doubt whatever contract he has forbids the network from pulling him off the air at any time. I’m sure they didn’t give that ability away in a negotiations. If they did, that was stupid.

And maybe they did make a deal. You let this go through and we’ll pull him off the air. I have no idea. Maybe they considered it and decided it was a good deal.

Yea.

And it was CBS that CENSORED them !!!!!

They were many times on the edge, and that is why they were so popular.

But is was from the direction of CBS !!!!!

Colbert will be OK. In other news, he's stated that he will no longer hold back criticism of CBS. "For the next ten months, the gloves are off."

Trump had nothing to do with it. Colbert had no audience. The Protests? Both fizzled, nobody showed up.

Letterman is weighing in on this.  He says the decision has nothing to do with money or ratings. He even alludes to his own exit from CBS, saying that he "kept the tapes" from his exit negotiations. CBS execs are oddly silent...

Again, my opinion, but I think CBS was afraid of Trump lawsuits after they were caught helping out Harris and her presidential campaign, so they sacrificed Colbert to appease everyone.

Maybe his show was losing money, I don’t really know. I’ve read it both ways and I don’t work for CVS in their accounting department so I don’t know.

CBS is a corporation. Corporations are butt kissers for the current administration, whether that administration is MAGA or only slightly to the right of center. They do that because a real leftist party would tax the crap out of them.
