There’s no mystery why he did it. He told his boyfriend why. He was told repeatedly that Kirk was preaching hate (which was not true of course), and was endangering him and others, that Trump and Republicans were planning on locking gays up. Those (and others) are lies.

The mystery, which isn’t that hard to solve, is why would a kid take the extraordinary step of murdering, of assassinating someone.

He was able to do it because he had been told for several years the lie that conservative ideology is equal to Nazis propaganda and a forerunner to a new Third Reich. Once you’re convinced that’s true and you’re part of a group whose default reaction is violence, it’s easier to take that step than the other side of the political spectrum. The conservative’s default position is not violence. If it were, the country would’ve burned down after Kirk was shot or after Trump was nearly killed. But it didn’t. All you can do is point to January 6, which was a spontaneous protest the cat out of control. No one was killed.

That’s the ridiculousness a lot of you on here also believe. You’re brainwashed. You act like this is just a big game. Calling people, Hitler and Nazis over and over and over again. And this is what you’ve created. And after numerous lbgtq shooters have killed dozens of people, you keep it up. You did it with the black and liberal community which is why they were able to freely riot over Michael Brown and George Floyd and kill dozens of people.
