 Your phone is like the light at your house.  The AI data center is like the powerplant.  When you use your phone it accesses a ton of data online, that is physically stored in data centers.  Your phone isn't that smart, it's the screen that shows you the information.

 Now if your phone actually stored all the data, and the ability to process it, then the power demands of your phone would be astronomical.
