I just bought a used 2002 650 Savage. It's black, and had only 820 miles on it. Looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Prior owner had installed a Suzuki windshield and Willie & Max saddlebags.
I paid 2,750. New ones sell for about 4,000, so I feel I got a good deal.
It's been about 8 years since I rode a bike
I didn't really plan on buying it until I got a look at it.
These Savages just look good!

Test drive conviced me, especially since it seemed to handle both my 16 yr old son and me.
I just turned over 1,000 miles, and a check of the miles per gallon showed 58. This included a lot of empty parking lot driving by my son for practicing his starting stopping and turning.
I actually bought the bike for my son, but I'm having a blast riding until he can get his cycle permit.
I'm really happy to have found this forum. I hope to learn a lot here.
My Savage backfires a lot, but I learned here that it's perfectly normal.
Happy Trails
