Here's another option:  Buy a long hollow pipe, 1.75" ID (or just a hair smaller) and cut to desired length.  Stuff 2 or 3 1.75" OD baffles in there and secure.  Attach to header pipe w/ red permatex.  Rejet and ride.  If you wnat to go w/ this, I'm sure we can figure out good ways to secure the baflles...

I can definitely understand the MAC gettin' on your nerves.  I'm kinda the same way.  I like the sound but it's loud.  One of these days I'll try the sporty muffler and see how it does.  In the mean time here's my workaround.
