I LIKE springs. I save springs from about anything getting thrown away. Have a fair collection of them. If you aren't gonna USE em, I will pay ya for em. & Pay the freight. Like Greg says, ya don't really Need em..
Thanks for sharin that. No One woulda ever known. Takes some of the sheepish feeling I get away from my projects knowing others pull such stunts.

I DID explode my battery with grinder sparks, felt like such a genius.
I do wish I coulda seen the " What the hekkkk?" look on your face when those forks started past their normal position & headed down.

That's a wonderful collection to have, you never know when someone in the neighbor hood might need a spring.  Do you only collect coil springs or does it go to leaf springs also????   And of course you know i'm only kidding -------  right????    john

Got any pics with the boots installed? I'm really interested in seeing this mod. Also, what size did you go with?

Here's one that Babbalou posted this past August in the Rubber Fork Boots thread.

If you'll go read the thread I mentioned above, Babbalou tells you where to buy them, who makes them and what part number to look for.  They also come in several colors, if I remember correctly.

here are the ones I just installed. They cost $20 on e-bay there are tons on there and they are listed for all kinds of bikes. but they are all the same measurements. Like 1  3/4  top  by  2  1/2  something like that but they fir perfect. just go to e-bay and type in rubber fork boots and it will brin em up    john

Dear Sparkett, how are you?  I am fine. I hesitate to tell this to you but I had a female dog and her name was , uuuuhhhh ummmmmm ahhhhhhhhh,   well ok I'll spit it out it was Sparkett. No kidding. She was the very best dog I ever had the pleasure of knowing.   part boarder collie part great white Simoyed. she was beautiful. we were partners for 15 years. she even waited for me while i was away in the service.  but anyway i guess you are an electrician. or something like that. do you make lots of money Sparkett? And would you consider letting me come to visit during the cold winter months up here??//   just kiddin.  I could always go live with my auntie in orlando. which i might visit her this spring could you get some people for a ride if i do????????    I am just waiting for an appointment so I thought i would type this wonderful letter.     john
