Use gasoline or rubbing alcohol.  I also have heard nail polish remover.  Use it with a rag.

I think cycleport would only do the $9 repair on their pants.  They might sell the fabric though. www.motoport.com

I was able to get most of the crud off using easy off.  Thanks for the input.
