What is the usual application for these 'rubber stoppers'? I've searched hardware supliers, ebay and everything I can think of and can't find any product even remotely similar to the sort of thing you're describing - where do you get them?

The "normal" application is to seal the top of a bottle or flask. Remember High School Chemistry? Those kind of stoppers. Some have holes, some don't. If the stopper you find has one hole, it might save some drilling.
Rubber Stoppers

Got mine at Home Depot. Nuts, Bolts, Fasteners aisle. Look for the section with a bunch of slide out drawers. Stoppers should be in one of those drawers. In the same section, I also found little chrome plugs that fit in allen head bolts.
Of course, they probably won't have Home Depot in England. But they should have some kind of Hardware Store.. right?

Reply #16 - 04/25/08 at 08:46:40 Three things have made a difference for me. Progressive shocks, Sportster seat, and losing 55+ lbs. The Sporty seat is wider than the stock seat and it's been noticeably more comfortable. Admittedly, the last item may not be an option for everyone but I'm positive it's been a big improvement for me.
