Good news, helping my brother work on his Intruder 800 and
the timing plug on that model uses a 10mm hex rather than a slot,
so if you plan ahead you can order one and have it on hand next time you adjust the valves.

Mine is stuck so bad that I will probably have to break it to get it out.
I will start looking for one from an 800
