Why? The first mostly oil tight engine from HD, and they chrome it? Gaskets won't seat in properly on that garbage... As for the XS650, ought as well chrome the tank, they shipped with shiny fenders.

I can dig the Yammy, but the Savage looks like crap to me. As WD noted, the fenders arent looking like the tank & tins. Looks pretty yukkers to me, but I think it would look lousy even IF the fenders matched the tank. At least the yammy has a black frame & pipe wraps for some contrast.
I've heard chrome makes gasket sealing hard. Ive seen those chrome thermostat housings for pretty cheap at the parts store & thot about it, but when I start thinking about the potential for a water leak, I change my mind.
