It is starting to feel like summer in the Sunny South. My riding group from church, The Circuit Ryders, gathered for a spin through the foothills and mountains.

We motored along SC highway 11 know as the Cherokee Foothills Parkway. It follows the first range of the Blue Ridge and on one side of the highway the view is always up. We took a turn to go to higher elevations over Cesar's Head on highway 278. There were plenty of bikes on the road today and you seldom were out of "waving" mode as groups of riders passed. Arriving at the at the top, the temps were much cooler and the views sublime.
Looking out towards Table Rock. The air was pretty hazy with the building humidity.

We occupied a good share of the parking lot.

After enjoying the break, we headed to Flat Rock, NC for some lunch.
Good "Q" at Hubba-Hubba.
For the light appetite.....

For the "HONGRY".....

We do enjoy riding, food and fellowship.

Winding our way towards home from Flat Rock by the long way, we needed one more stop to cool off and enjoy some ice cream at our favorite spot to end a ride.

It was a great way to finish the Holiday weekend, keeping in mind those we remember and honor this day.
