Horn Problem

Have a horn problem. Didn't like the stock one. Bought a Wolo disk style. Mounted it and the sound was awful. Almost no sound. Called Wolo. They said some stuff I really didn't understand about the horn needed to be loose to vibrate. I can't see leaving the mounting bolt loose. What am I doing wrong? Obviously, I'm an amateur. I really like this forum cause some of you are really knowledgeable. Helps to have a place like this. I live in Auburn Alabama. Like most places people drive really bad. I need a loud horn. Thanks

There is usually an adjustment screw that will vary the volume and pitch by loosening the disc... ... but,... most bike horns are less effective than yelling... ...

MotoBuddha Serious Thumper Offline Let's roll! Posts: 1416 Charlotte, NC	Re: Horn Problem Reply #5 - 08/31/11 at 20:32:18 The stock horn is mounted to the triangular tab via a rubber grommet that allows the horn to vibrate. You should reuse the grommet and the two metal piece that fit inside it.

You may have to run a connection to the battery through a good relay.I bought a wolo horn and plugged it into my factory horn wiring,when I tried it,it just made a buzzing sound.I thought it was defective,then I tried powering it off a battery with two jumper wires and it worked.I ended up using the factory horn wire to trigger a relay taking power from the battery.these horns seem to need a strong connection to work right.
