The only thing I know about climate change with absolute certainty is that it’s not nearly as important of an issue at this moment in our history that requires an immediate input of a huge percentage of our resources as it’s being portrayed to be.

That’s a fact, not an opinion.

You think that’s all because of global warming?

Really?

You realize that 15,000 years as a fraction of a second on the Earth’s geological clock? A fraction of a second ago, if you went to Chicago to stand on the shores of the great lakes without the city of Chicago interfering with your view of nature, you couldn’t. It would be buried under a couple hundred feet of ice. One of the predominant features of the United States landmass was not even created, yet a fraction of a second ago.

But you’re sure the last few decades of vehicles and power generation plant’s emissions are completely responsible for a hurricane causing tremendous damage in a highly populated area of the country, which historically has been frequent targets of hurricanes for thousands and thousands of years? Do I have that right?

I have to agree that climate change isn’t 100% man made.  That said, we should be doing “something” even if it’s only the equivalent of peeing on a 500 acre forest fire.

As George Carlin said, “The planet will be fine; it’s the people that are F—ked.”

The planet and sun have been going through cycles for billions of years, but give a bunch of scientists some cool tools over the last 50 years and suddenly we learn we’re all gunna die in a raging inferno in the next 20 years!

Noah built an Ark.  Maybe Musk can build a giant electric dirigible that we can hover about in until the fire subsides.

I agree. The climate is changing and humans plan a role, but highly unlikely it’s the majority role. The question is what can we do without enslaving billions who don’t live in the civilized areas of the world to a lifetime of energy poverty.

Truth is, the only people who don’t agree with the comments above are those who make a living off climate change science and partisan leftist Democrats.

Why is it that the so-called "civilized world" is always involved in the major wars, killing, land grabs, corruption and so on....  But the "uncivilized" world peacefully tries to stay out of such civilization as best they can.

I didn't know you were so concerned about the uncivilized world.  That's mighty white of you.  Are you sure you don't just like your gas powered vehicles?  I know I do!

They have conflicts instead of wars, kill, and grab smaller areas of land.

Peaceful? Ever hear of Rwanda? Cambodia? The truth is, these uncivilized nations are just that, uncivilized. We just don’t hear about it. You one of those people who think the American Indian was just living quietly off the land under a buffalo blanket while smoking peyote?

Mighty white of me? Our fair and balanced moderator would censor me if I answered that.

And the Questions are asked.
But never answered.
And the believers continue down the road, supporting things that cost us all, diminished the grid, made power through the winter a Sometimes thing, and they believe they are the smart ones.
Idiots all

So why, are all the  FDS, DFI, WOKE Socialists,
All up in arms,
         YET !
They have NOTHING TO SAY,
      ABOUT
the POLLUTION in the air and at sea.

“... beginning to awaken realities of the “new green energy utopia”…which apparently entails a lot more chemistry and fire response than originally promised…”
“… the emissions from these fires is a bit more than zero as well…”
“… readers may recall that the lithium-ion battery fire at a San Diego facility took weeks to suppress. Interestingly, the nearby school remained evacuated …”
“… sewage using an approved system at a distance of more than three nautical miles from the nearest land; sewage which is not comminuted or disinfected has to be discharged at a distance of more than 12 nautical miles from the nearest land.“ …”
“… if a ship's treatment system is malfunctioning or bypassed, the company permits untreated wastewater to be released only if the vessel is at least 12 nautical miles from land  …”
“…Carnival Corp., the parent company for Carnival Cruise Lines and Princess Cruise Lines, was under scrutiny for more than a decade for[b] illegally dumping oil-contaminated water
. …”

And before all the (Cruse Lines), floating armament vessels, just dumped where and whenever !!!!!!

A Yep, The DFI, FDS, WOKE, Socialists are not one bit, 'worried', about this spaceship.
They are just the PUPPETS, of those that want total domination.

The destruction of the environment and the use of slave labor, using children to dig ore, is notta Problum. They just don't care. The Green Energy thing is a failure. Texas didn't suffer days of power outage across wide swaths before They decided They had a Better Way. Well, like everything else They decide, it's a MASSIVE FUKKUP. We need to rebuild our generation plants and retire those stupidass windmills and solar panels.
If someone can figure out how to recycle the toxic schitt.
Screwing up the whales from the noise.
And if you're stupid enough to believe they aren't wrecking the flying insects and birds, well,, you're an idiot.
