Foot peg replacements

The dealer wanted 38 dollars each ... you have got to be kidding so I looked on ebay and bought for a total of 10 dollars including shipping 4 HD pegs ... then over to Lowe's for some hard ware 2 washers and a steel bushing and an Stainless steel metric allen head and bingo a brand new foot peg for a total of 6 dollars each, you can't beat that and they even look decent. And I needed 4 replacements as I have 2 bikes to do. So I spet a total of 24 dollars versus 4 x 38 or 152 ...
just thought you might like to know.

SURAZAL,
Great deal. Got pics? Did the site you bought them off of have more?

Pics for sure.
Meanwhile I did order the $36 one from BikeBandit and they sent one that does not fit. It is supposed to be the RIGHT peg (metal shank part), but it is not correct. Looks like it goes on the left side.
When I tried to fit it on this weekend, the RIGHT rubber cover fit over the current bent metal shank, but the new shank wasn't even oriented the correct direction. I had the Cylmers out (useless diagram) and the Savage CD (better pics) and compared the two shanks to figure this issue out.
BB is supposed to be looking into it, but has anyone here had something like that happen? Am I not doing something correctly to install this thing?

Pretty cheap and neat alternative foot peg replacement is the "Mega Peg." Cost me $50-$60 dollars for two front sets, then I moved my old knee shaking o-ring pegs got the passenger position:
I like to move my feet back to the passenger pegs sometimes to give my rear a break, and having the small longer pegs back there helps. Oh, the angle of the Mega Pegs is adjustable by loosening a screw and pivoting them to your most comfortable position. I got a great price on then from an outfit I came across on eBay: seller: debrix or on the net @

Rockin John or anyone who can help... I need new front pegs since the PO put some tiny, passenger HD ones on that don't fit at all and sag a lot. I've been trying to find some alternative ones but have been having a hard time of it. The original ones have a little tab on the end to lock it into the holder and keep them level. The ones RJ put on look great but when I went to their website, they don't show having the tab on the end. RJ, did you have to make a shim or other fix, or did they fit on just the way they are? I'd love to be able to take my bike for some longer cruises but my current footpegs just aren't up to snuff.
Thanks for any ideas. I just wanna get out and hang my knees in the breeze for a long weekend and this is the only thing I haven't been able to replace. (that guy messed with a lot of stuff on the bike that didn't end up working.)

I was curious about the front pegs on that website too. I need to replace mine but was unclear if I had to do anything or the megas just fit .... the little tab was throwing me off too.
Please share with us if you can if you needded to do any altering or ask fro some extra part/fitting. Also is it possible to take a pic of the left front peg? curious how that looks.
thanks
